Sometimes things get in the way and we tend to lose focus on whats really important in life. These last few days have been amazing. I feel my fire burning again. My desire is to draw close to God again and it feels so good. This is the purpose why this blog even exists! To tell people about Jesus!!! If anyone reading this is feeling down and out and they just want something more out of life or looking for a bit of encouragement, turn to the big man up stairs. I just had to get that off my chest. God you are good and we thank you for everything!!!

I always wondered what it was like behind the scene of photo shoots. I never thought I would be a part of one to be honest. After catching my reflection in a spoon I realized I wanted to do one. Enjoy me trying to be really ridiculously good looking. Blue steel.

The XXL awards went off last night! To watch big wave surfings best all come together and celebrate a crazy year was insane! Me and Albee got to hop a ride with Greg Long on his private bus from San Clemente to Anaheim. Thatʻs where we met up with Jeff Rowley who was kind enough to invite us to sit at his VIP table.
I never thought I would ever be apart of something like this. Itʻs a blessing to say the least. Tito Ortiz and Nick Swardson also made a special guest appearance which was pretty neat. I felt the results were a little off….Hipwood should have won ride of the year and Jeff should have had a nomination for monster paddle. Besides that the night was awesome. I canʻt wait to step it up for next year.
Results:
Nathan Fletcher- Ride of the year, Monster tube, Mens overall performance.
Garrett McNamara-Biggest wave, Wipe out of the year.
Dave Wassell-Monster paddle in.
Womenʻs overall performance-Maya Gabeira

Iʻm super excited for the XXL awards! Itʻs my first time attending anything like this and Iʻm pumped. A chance to mingle with the mad men of the sport that Iʻve looking up to for years. I canʻt wait! Iʻll definitely be posting pictures and video. If not you guys can catch it on Fuel tv May 20th.

Sorry itʻs been a while sense any post have gone up. Thank you to those who have been viewing in our absence. Cali has been a busy but great trip so far. 4/3 and booties every day and more mexican food then we know what to do with. So stoked to hear that the $100k won Albee “Cory P.” I couldnʻt be more stoked for him! Bummed I couldnʻt be there to celebrate with him. We have tons of editing to do when we get home so hold tight and trust me that it will be worth it. Until then stay classy and stay tuned aloha.

Been on a forced vacation for the last week. Caught a nice head cold during the best east swell of the year, then I managed to slice my foot (on my first session back) good enough to keep me out of the water for a few more days yippie! Iʻm just paying my dues before california. Hopefully weʻll have some new videos in the next week or so.

Stand up paddling is getting pretty popular, we figured we’d give it a shot. Turns out the equipment is really expensive so we could only afford the paddles. It ended up being a pretty hard sport. So if your short on cash but still wanna SUP then here’s our solution. The world’s shortest stand up paddle boards, and half the cost.
